My mom bought a dozen crape myrtle, all deep red. Last year most were dark pink with a couple red and 3 purple. This year one is fuschia, the rest are pink.
What makes the crape myrtle flowers change color every year?
the ph level in the soil.
Reply:i dont' know. i only know that it's the ph level. my aunts are blueish purple. and her friends are pinkish. my aunt throws coffee grounds on hers too. Report It

Mint does that when they bloom in a suddenly cooler day. Like for 3 months we were in a bad drought, and for 3 days we had rain and the temp was about 10 degrees cooler.
